My pen name is Alize Henry. I have been writing since I was young but never had anything published. Since February 2022, over 140 pieces of my content are published here on this platform— and four stories on Reedsy, so far.
Although I love writing, I am truly an avid reader of bios, science fiction, fantasy, romance stories, and poetry. I write mainly fiction and poetry.
In the ’70s era, I fell in love with writers whose stories and poems ignited my love for soul-wrenching poems and revolutionary stories that woke a nation of sleeping giants. Poetesses like Maya Angelou, Nikki Giovanni, and bell hooks, woke women writers and ruled with the sword on parchment. These authors ignited pride in our hearts and glorified our minds to greater heights of accomplishments. More women began publishing powerful stories drawn from struggles in life and penned into masterpieces that made us cry and rejoice.
