A Palette of Personalities

Is choosing a favorite color a universal law?

I have fallen in love with the imagination. And if you fall in love with the imagination, you understand that it is a free spirit. It will go anywhere, and it can do anything.” ~Alice Walker

Colors, with too many to adore,

I am uncertain which one I love more.

Colors have personalities, prone to shock too

Orange is passionate, racy, but demure

Its complementary mate is perfectly azure.

Red for example, can be sexy and lewd

Black plays smart, but sometimes is rude

Purple is majestic and holds her royal stand

Yellow flaunts and screams out demands

White flexes with prowess — it remains docile

Mixed with any hue, it becomes a style.

Brown is earthy, regal, tertiary hues,

A visible spectrum of primary cues.

Surpassing spring’s alluring embrace,

Is superior verdant — a lush green grace.

Thanks to Jonny Masters — this challenge is to write a poem that tells a story using 100 words. The random word for my drabble poem is “Verdant”.

🦋🦋Thank you for reading my poetry drabble. 🦋
