Hiram Scott and his two brothers ran a B&B in the nearby area and hauled in great profits from their business. But Hiram was not in business for monetary profits today. He was seeking valuables that may stimulate his wife and renew her interest in intimacy. They had married three years earlier.

Hiram did not marry young. He was fifty-two years old when he finally fell in love with his neighbor, Alana, who was twenty-one years his junior. They were both jealous of each other starting out. After many ascensions and contentions, the two discovered they wanted each other. She respected and adored him and he in turn loved and needed her.

Alana married right out of high school. Her husband went straight into the military. She managed to complete college and medical school, and become a veterinarian, in a fast track of six years. They had a son, Horace Akeem. Shortly after giving birth Alana’s husband was killed in combat. She moved back into the family home right next door to Hiram’s B&B and their story of war and love began.

Hiram was picky and particular about most things while Alana was easily gratified, gracious and generous…
