Infused With Words

Writers write for varying reasons, but writers love words.

As writers, we write the things that give us pleasure or cause us great concern. Writers often enjoy sharing ideas, information, and scripted entertainment.

Writers do want to be heard and understood. We want to shock and bemuse. Oftentimes we write because we are impregnated with words that must come out of us. We nurtured those words and rear delightfully or painfully before sending them into a world of readers. Many times, we are the only ones who read what we have written.

Writers love words.

Having to labor and purge and find peace after having given birth to our words are a few of the reasons we write. Just as we do with our human children, we bring our words before the eyes and ears of the reader or listener and hope they will be entertaining, enriching, and accepted as pieces of ourselves, as art.

Spoken words are meaningful, depending on the speaker. Written words are mighty, powerful, strong, and more influential than the spoken word. Some writers can convince the reader, make them cry in darkness and sorrow, or encourage them to go out and fight.
