Locks, Keys … Part 4
“Soothing romantic music encompassed my soul … ”
I savored in my approval of the sensualness I was experiencing, loving the feeling. Knowing that tonight I could afford to feel this good.
I pulled back the drapes of the full-length window to expose the cityscape’s colorful array of distant lights, then turned off the lamps in the room. I found violin jazz music on the music channel and turned the volume to a comforting level. Soothing romantic music encompassed my soul, lifting my spirit and inducing a warm desire within me.
Sam was sleeping like an old lion, and snoring like a hibernating bear. “Now that I am his woman,” I considered as I prepared the room for us, “I can do this.” Sam is not just my friend and lover, he is now — my man.
I snuggled into bed beside him. Sometime during the night, we shared new fiery loving, passionate giving, and joyous receiving of ourselves, then drifted into a deep contented sleep. Together we divinely rediscovered the key in our golden years. Comfortably locked in each other’s welcoming arms, loving hearts, willingly, sharing our lives.
“And in my eyes
I see no one else but you
There’s no other love like our love
And, oh, girl I’ll always want you near me
I’ve waited for you for so long” ~ Lionel Richey* (Musixmatch)
